Sophie the scary Halloween kitty

For the curious, this photo was taken a couple of years ago when we got our newest cat, Lola. The previously sweet Sophie went on a hissing rampage against the new cat.
Sophie was being so consistently mean that I was able to take a camera and easily get the two shots that compose this moving picture.
Strangely, every time Lola goes to the vet and then comes home, Sophie goes through all of this again. Bizarre.
